	ANNOUNCEMENTS: * 2009 * Frank Wilbert was elected to the 2009 Board of Directors for the Nashville Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. John J. Griffin, Jr. has been named a Fellow of the Nashville Bar Foundation. Mid-South Super Lawyers James D. Kay, Jr., John J. Griffin, Jr., and John B. Enkema have been named "2008 Super Lawyers" in the area of Business Litigation. Frank Wilbert was named a "2008 Mid-South Rising Star" in the area of Intellectual Property Litigation. Only 5 percent of the lawyers in a state can be named in Super Lawyers, and each individual is selected after considerable polling, peer evaluations, and a detailed evaluation process based on peer recognition and professional achievement. Shumate IV has been elected to serve on the Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee from 2007-2010. Click here to read Thomas W. On February 22, 2008, Mr. Shumate moderated a panel discussion about the state of technology in Tennessee’s courts. The panel included the Clerks of the Davidson County Circuit and Chancery Courts, the Tennessee Appellate Courts, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee; the Trial Court Administrator for the 20^th Judicial District; and the Technology Director of the Tennessee Administrative Office of Courts. Mr. Shumate and Keith Throckmorton, the Clerk of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, also gave a presentation entitled, “Ethical Risks Created by Technology.” Both events were part of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Law Tech 2008 seminar. --------------------- In November of 2007, attorney Frank Wilbert was named a 2007 MDA Most Prominent Legal Leader. Effective February 8, 2007, James D.
